1.10804 FUNDAMENTALS OF CALCULUS

A short general course in calculus designed to enable students in the socials sciences, humanities, commerce and economics to acquire concepts and skills needed for an effective study of the mathematical aspects of their disciplines. Revision on functions and graphs, non-linear equations and inequalities, limits, derivatives, integration, application of calculus, sequence and series.

Contact hours:

4 hours lectures, 2 hours tutorials per week.

Assessment:

3 assignments (15%), 2 tests (25%), final exam (60%).
