1.40822 NETWORKING AND OPERATING SYSTEMS

The course introduces the student to the basic of network security tools, administrative tools, network protocols and fundamentals of TCP/IP, using standard operating systems such as windows and Unix. Topics will include but not limited to: user accounts, security, tools, protocols, TCP/IP, routing, IP addressing, remote access communication (rac) network architecture and communication models.

Four hours lecture and two hours lab per week.

Assessment:

Two assignments (10%), one project (10%), one test (20%), final examination (60%).
