2.14401 SOCIOLOGY & CULTURAL CONCEPTS IN HEALTH CARE

This is a compulsory course for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Clinical Nursing. The course introduces students to sociological and anthropological concepts and theories and their application in the PNG context and the impact of rapid change on the health of individuals, families, communities and the society at large. It is also designed to produce critical thinking skills in students and encourage students to apply sociological, anthropological theoretical concepts to leadership in their respective clinical settings as professionals.
