2.14501 HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
The course aims to develop students' knowledge and skills in managing human resources effectively and efficiently in the health industry. The topics to be explored include human resource management policies and practices in PNG with reference to Department of Personnel Management (DPM) guidelines on staff recruitment, selection, orientation, performance appraisal, task and training need analysis, training and development, discipline, retirement, staff planning, career management, labour and relations, absenteeism and turnover, occupational health and safety, including stress and burnout, quality of work life - leisure and recreation.
