2.14504 PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION

This course examines the importance and functions of communication among health care team members and legal and ethical issues of professional communication in health organisations. The topics include models and process of intra-personal, interpersonal and group communication, critical lateral and reflective thinking, communication skills and techniques, factors facilitating and/or hindering communication. Written and verbal professional communication, assertiveness in communication, organisational and mass health media communication, and the impacts of personal and world view on the expectation and ways people interact.
