2.34805 CLINICAL LABORATORY PRACTICE

This course is conducted by the Discipline of MLS & Pathology Dept. staff
The course is designed to emphasize the professional nature of the program as it prepared them during the preceding three semesters. These include the disciplines of Medical Microbiology, Haematology, Blood Banking, Histopathology and Clinical Biochemistry. Students are attached to the Pathology Department, Port Moresby General Hospital to acquire the professional skills and understanding expected of a Medical Laboratory Scientist engaged in the investigation and diagnosis of human diseases. Student placement to these disciplines requires a task journal signed by the senior medical technologist besides. Attachment Report. A literature review to be followed by an oral presentation will contribute towards the final report.
