2.39803 APPLIED CLINICAL DENTAL PRACTICE - II

This course covers both the theoretical and clinical aspects of most routine dental procedures such as extractions of teeth, scaling and polishing of teeth, filling of teeth, attendance to both children and adults, and also the handling of medically compromised patients. The course also gives the student basic knowledge and awareness regarding the law and ethics in dentistry and the importance of the knowledge of forensic dentistry. The students spend the majority of their time in attending to patients.

Contact hours: 3 hours per week x 2 semesters Clinical work = 15 hours per week x 2 semesters.

Assessment: Continuous & Final Assessments (written). Viva and Clinical Exam in minor oral surgery, periodontology and conservative dentistry.
