2.39903 IMAGE EVALUATION

This course is designed particularly to equip the students with the skills required to analyse x-ray images and scans for accuracy of technique, diagnostic quality and the ability to differentiate normal and abnormal tissues. Students also develop the skills to recognize different types of appearances on the images including artefacts and pathology. This will give students the ability to decide additional or modified views to enhance the accuracy of the examination findings.

Contact hours: 6 hours per week (2 lectures, tutorial)

Assessment: Tests, assignments, oral presentations (60%), final exam (40%).

Prerequisite: 2.29901, 2.29905, 2.29903, 2.29906.
