2.49901 RESEARCH PROJECT

This course aims to introduce the students to research methodologies including, writing research proposals and literature reviews. The course has a lecture-based component and a field research component. A topic relevant to Medical Imaging Science (Diagnostic Radiography) in Papua New Guinea is chosen as the research thesis, and undertaken under supervision. As part of the assessment, students are required to make a verbal presentation of their research findings in front of an audience.

Contact hours: 4 hours per week (lectures, tutorials) plus field research

Assessment: Research proposal write-ups, presentations (60%), research project (40%)
