2.54903 PHARMACY PRACTICE

The course aims to enable students to attain professional competencies in the professional duties of pharmacists and their interactions with patients. On completion, the student should be able to undertake professional duties for the provision of medicines to the community; to communicate effectively with patients and other health professionals; apply the legal and ethical requirements of the profession; and understand the patient context of illness.

Contact hours: 6 hours per week (2 lectures, 1 tutorial and a 3 hour practical).

Assessment: Tests, assignments, practicals (60%), final exam (40%).
