As an introductory course, introduction to Tourism seeks to provide a systematic basis for exploring and understanding the complexities of Tourism and the various inter-relationships that exist. This course provides an introduction to the hospitality and tourism industry, its component parts, its global nature and its importance to employment and trade. Concepts of the tourism and hospitality activities are analyzed; its operation, regulation and contextual settings are overviewed.
