This course provides students with an understanding of the front office procedures and operations of the accommodation sector with a focus on hotels and motels. It also introduces a students to the operations and functions of the house-keeping department in the hotels and motels. This course covers the operations of the front office such as front office procedures and operations, the porters and concierge and also the functions, operations and management of the house-keeping department. The course is practical in nature and requires a lot of field trips and practical activities.
