3.30304 APPLIED ECONOMICS & BUSINESS STATISTICS The focus of the course is on inferential statistics with introduction to correlation and simple linear regression as well as quantitative business forecasting techniques. Topics include inference procedures for two populations, estimation and testing for population proportions, analysis of variance, correlation and simple linear regression, introductory time series analysis and index numbers, introductory quantitative business forecasting, non-parametric statistics and decision-making under uncertainty.
