3.30316 LABOUR ECONOMICS
The topics covered include demand for labour, the supply for labour and the price of labour, institutional and historical factors in the determination of the price of labour, structural, cyclical and seasonal unemployment, wage-participation rates and collective bargaining theory. Theories of labour movements and the development of trade unions in some countries including PNG. The labour absorption issue including the school-leaver problem, are also discussed.
