3.30802 THEORIES OF MOTIVATION
The course aims to introduce the major psychological theories of motivation in the area of management within organizations. These major theories are classified into process and stage theories and are utilised to see which are relevant in describing and explaining motivation at work in different contexts of management practices. Some examples of problems of motivation at work in developing countries are discussed to illustrate the relevancy or irrelevancy of these theories to the PNG context of management.
