3.40304 ECONOMIC POLICY

This course covers various economic policy issues and tries to apply economic theory to economic policy matters. Economic policy issues include monetary and exchange rate issues, fiscal policy and public expenditure, employment, wages, prices and income policy, investment policy, industrial policy, foreign trade, aid and investment policy, health, education and manpower policy, agriculture, mining, petroleum, forestry, fisheries, and rural policy. All topics are discussed with reference to PNG and other similar economies.
