This course extends the discussion in 3.20603 into a global perspective, by looking at the growing complexity of banking as economies become more and more integrated from their traditional roles of financing specific export and import transactions through letters of credit and acceptances. The course also profiles the development of bankers from its beginnings to the various forms it has assumed, including the range of services provided and value creation.
