The course presents an analysis of criminal deviance, examining theories of its genesis, social definition, maintenance, control and social consequences. This course is intended to give the student an opportunity to examine major theoretical and methodological issues in the study of crime and crime control. Extensive reading will be an important part of the course because students will have to venture into a variety of branches of knowledge. It gives the students the benefit of understanding why criminal justice system works with all agencies of entrusted to another criminal justice.
