Thomas Maniwavie BSc, BEd

Education Officer

Thomas has been employed with MIRC for approximately 14 years. Thomas's experiences relate to marine biodiversity and environmental impact assessment, with particular expertise in coral reef monitoring and more recently, mangrove taxonomy. Thomas has a specific interest in coral reef recolonisation after the 1994 Rabaul volcanic eruptions. In his current role as Education Officer, Thomas is involved in the production of educational material for MIRC, contributing to University and school visits to Motupore Island, and furthering MIRC's community outreach activities.
