Financial Management is concerned with makin decisions about alternative sources and use of funds. It involves the question by how we measure profitability of commiting funds in one direction as opposed to another. Here the focus is on corporate financial management, that is how companies or corporations set standards against which they can assess the use of funds. Topics include an overview of financial management, financial markets, institutions, and interest rates, financial statements analysis, time value of money and DFC technique, risk and rates of return, bond and share valuation, working capital policy, and cash and marketable securities management.
