The School will use a blended approach to teaching and learning, depending on individual preferences and efficiency using Moodle, Google Classroom, and Zoom. Others have already provided a course text and will concentrate on tutorial groups, rather than lectures, following text as a guide.

I hope that you are all looking forward to resuming studies which were disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic. While your health is of paramount importance, several related announcements need to be made:

  1. UPNG will formally resume classes on Monday 11 May 2020;
  2. Classes with fewer than 20 students will continue to have face-to-face contact. The Reading Course in Economic Development of PNG will continue as usual;
  3. Classes with more than 20 students, for example, the Development of Global Economy will be taught online;
  4. As e-learning is a new mode of teaching, there may be early problems. We must present, and complete Semester 1, 2020;
  5. and
